BWTS and Scrubbers

ALONGSIDE 7 offer customized, turnkey solutions for Ballast Water Treatment System & Scrubber System Installation Projects
International Maritime Organization (IMO) is imposing increasingly stringent emissions regulations to meet its environmental commitments.

IMO Sulphur reductions came into effect on January 1st., 2020, when the global Sulphur cap will be lowered from 3.5 to 0.5%.

Implications of this move will be felt widely. Ship owners have three key options to meet the new Sulphur requirements:
  • Install exhaust gas cleaning systems / scrubbers
  • Switch to low Sulphur fuels
  • Switch to dual fuel engines or liquid natural gas (LNG) vessel
